Regan Beach is a very popular venue and is a great year-round wedding location in South Lake Tahoe. One of the main reasons for its popularity other than the natural surrounding beauty is that it is centrally located in town for easy access for you and your guests and can be reserved for a private wedding.

Regan Beach is a perfect venue for a beach wedding and the area consists of a park-like setting overlooking Lake Tahoe where your ceremony can take place on a grassy knoll under the tall, 100 year old Jeffry Pine trees. It is a spacious area and up to 150 guests can be accommodated. An arch, chairs, a runner, and any other ceremony necessity can be provided as an option at additional cost. Further benefits include ample free parking, nearby restrooms, and it's handicap accessible.

For small wedding groups (25 or less), you may also choose to have your ceremony on the nearby observation deck built over the water’s edge or along the lake's shore on the sands of Regan Beach. For larger parties (over 25 guests) it is always recommended to reserve the park, most particularly for weddings planned on a Saturday during summer months. Regan Beach Park is reserved and leased through the City of South Lake Tahoe, but reservations can be acquired for your wedding date through services provided by Alpenglow Weddings.

Currently, the city fee for the permit that reserves the park is $200 per hour for a Saturday with a two hour minimum reservation. Weekday permit cost (Monday - Thursday) is $135 per hour, and chances of acquiring a reservation for a specific time are far greater than on Saturdays during the peak summer wedding season.

Either way, the cost can be regarded as moderate when considering that mini receptions can be held at Regan Beach when a permit is acquired, which can be a big money saver from having to rent another reception facility. Portable tables can be be erected for catered food, cake cutting, and champagne toasting.
